Orphaned Beaver, Cottontails, Raccoons, Opossums, Squirrels

We have a beaver! He weighs 566 grams and is less than 2 weeks old. I'm hoping to find a beaver rehabber in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, because a lone beaver is not going to do so good, nor do I have the proper facilities once he gets older. Isn't he absolutely adorable????

nice t-shirt, isn't it??

One of 3 cottontails:

I was going to feed the opossums today and do the daily check. They are outside in a large enclosure and have a dog house packed with old t-shirts to sleep in. When I opened the lid, all I could find was one opossum!

I thought "ohoh, they must have gotten out those little Houdinis", but I couldn't see how. So I got the idea to look into the squirrel house that I had still hanging in there. And this is what I found. It probably reminds them of momma's pouch:

SHow wonderful to know that this work is going on! Thank you for all that you are doing! I am a bunny-rescuer in Southern California, and work with two separate groups/organizations here (San Gabriel Valley). I just happened upon your web site while looking for something totally unrelated! Keep up the great work you are doing. I will try to check in again for updates. All the best to you, and please give that little beaver-baby a cuddle and a squeeze from me.

OMG. The beaver is adorable. So glad you had him for a few days before transferring him to the Beaver rehab facility. What a cutie. Mary

We found a baby beaver cornered by our dogs the other day. I don't know where she came from because there is no significant bodies of water near us. She is a sweetie, but we don't know what to do with her. I have found some info on the internet, but not much. Should we buy a bottle and give her milk, or should we be feeding her something else. ANY info you could give me would be great! Please email me at allypeper@gmail.com
Even a link or other resource would be helpful
